How to Set GoodAlum.com as Default Search Engine

Firefox

  1. Click HERE to add GoodAlum to your list of search engines.
  2. Select GoodAlum from the pull-down list in the search box.

Internet Explorer 7 & 8

  1. Click HERE to add GoodAlum to your list of search engines.
  2. Check the box that says "Make this my default search provider."
  3. Click "Add Provider"

Internet Explorer 6

  1. Click the Search button above the address bar.
  2. Click Customize at the top of the Search sidebar that appears on the left side of the browser window
  3. Select GoodAlum as your search provider for address bar searches.
  4. Click OK.

  5. If GoodAlum isn't listed, follow these steps:

    1. Click the Find more search providers link
    2. Use the 'Create your own'
    3. Enter the following in step 3: http://goodalum.com/results.php?cx=partner-pub-5549371099660370%3Ayoey7eq33tv&cof=FORID%3A10&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=TEST
    4. Name the search provider 'GoodAlum'
    5. Click Install.

Google Chrome

  1. Click the Tools menu in the browser.
  2. Select Options.
  3. Click the Basics tab.
  4. Select GoodAlum from the 'Default search' drop-down menu.

  5. If GoodAlum isn't listed, follow these steps:

    1. Click Add
    2. Name: GoodAlum.com
    3. Keyword: GoodAlum
    4. URL: http://goodalum.com/results.php?cx=partner-pub-5549371099660370%3Ayoey7eq33tv&cof=FORID%3A10&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=%s&sa=Search&siteurl=http%3A%2F%2Fgoodalum.com%2F
    5. Click OK
  6. Click the Close button

Safari

  • Apple's Safari browser on the Mac OS is tied to Google, so changing search providers needs to be done by way of a plugin. One of the easiest ways to change your search engines in Safari is by using the Glims plugin. This software adds a number of features to Safari, including tabs, thumbnails, full screen, suggestions, and more.
    1. Download the Glims plugin.
    2. Once complete, make sure to exit out of Safari.
    3. Open Safari and select Preferences (Safari tab.)
      1. Under the Glims tab, click on "Search Engines."
      2. Then, click the "Add" button to add a new search engine.
      3. In the pop-up box provided, you'll need to fill in the following info:
      4. Name: GoodAlum
      5. Type: Search Engine
      6. Query URL: http://goodalum.com/results.php?cx=partner-pub-5549371099660370%3Ayoey7eq33tv&cof=FORID%3A10&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=
      7. Add
